Howdy Hackulousians!

The quick and dirty: Crackulous was developed right here on our forum, on our SVN server. Anyone selling Crackulous or claiming to be the developer is trying to scam you. The official Cydia repository to get Crackulous is http://cydia.hackulo.us. Crackulous is and will always be FREE SOFTWARE. It has had NO OTHER developers but SaladFork and Angel, with contributions from Uncon. If you need more details than this, keep reading:

Update: The scammer turned out to be Haklab, trying to drive traffic back to his blog. Move along, nothing to see here.

Well, we certainly could have seen this one coming from a mile away. A person I've nicknamed PatheticBoy has registered a Crackulous domain name, the name 'Crackulous' on most major social networks, an E-mail address, etc. He's claiming that he wrote Crackulous, and he's charging $10 for it. PatheticBoy is also trying to make people believe that people offering it for free have put viruses in it that can mysteriously "steal all your passwords". Obviously, this is a giant scam. According to PatheticBoy's fake Twitter account, he's already gotten at least $40 out of it. (If you're one of those people, remember that you can redact your Paypal payments to get your money back!)

If you'd like to fight back against PatheticBoy, just tweet "@spam Crackulous" from your Twitter account, report the domain crackulous.net on Google's Blogger Abuse Page (Piracy, Spam, take your pick for the report reason), and generally get the word out that Crackulous is an official (and free) Hackulo.us product, from our very own Angel.

We've had well over 20,000 legitimate downloads, so his 4 isn't much of a penetration -- but hey, it's fun to virtually punch pathetic losers like this in the face

What this tosser needs is a fake/mock letter from Apple Lawyers explaining that seeing as this guy is profiting from the process of cracking applications that are protected with a copyright,his identity will be sought from twitter and anywhere else he is advertising.
Whose got the e-mail address of that apple lawyer that Haklab is shagging....anyone.....perhaps an e-mail or two to that guy will shut him down.For all that he is claiming,the buck stops with him.

Something I'd never felt before came to me after I read his website

I'm serious I'm not joking. I've watched you kyek, angel, saladfork, genius and everybody else work so hard on this app and then I read his website

I really felt those sensations
Here is my list of the worst things on his website:

1, he says that crackulous is legal. So not only is he scamming people he's giving them an illegal product without telling them

2, the fake comments, one of my blog authors is on the comments list saying it's really good. It makes people look bad. Next thing we know kyek and genius will be saying it's great

3, the payment, he says 10 dollars for a limited time only cause of the recession. 20 dollars normally, that's ridiculous

Now my last point and it's to Angel
Angel would there be a way for you to code into crackulous so that it would only work correctly if you downloaded it through hackulouses cydia source
Or even better why don't you put a form here on hackulous that gets you a serial number for crackulous and crackulous cannot be used until you get that serial number
That way he'd have to direct people to this site and read an agreement about it bring free before it would work

For those of you using Firefox: go to that asshole's website and click Help Report Web Forgery on Firefox Menu bar. Hopefully, it will get marked as harmful in Google search results.
